Almiron recorded nine goals and 14 assists in his debut MLS campaign, earning a spot on the shortlist for league MVP honors.

Dempsey, who remains tied with Landon Donovan on 57 goals as the U.S. team's all-time leading scorer, has 14 goals in MLS play this year after returning from a career-threatening heart condition.
